Peoria Civic Hack-a-thon
While "hacking" is sometimes associated with cybercrime, a Hackathon is an event where participants experiment with data, technology, and ideas to solve challenges. At this Civic Hackathon, we'll be tackling the challenge of how data might be better applied to solve challenges that impact peoples' lives in our community.

Building Peoria's Open Data Portal
The Greater Peoria Data & Analytics Community is working on a project to build the Peoria area's first comprehensive open data portal. Come to this meeting to be a part of this project!
The team is shooting to organize a Civic Hackathon (or Buildathon) in conjunction with IGNITE Peoria on August 10th. That day, participants will be invited to make as much progress on the Open Data Portal as possible, from design, writing, and development of the front-end and back-end. We will be setting a vision for the Portal, as well as organizing the corresponding Hackathon on the 10th!
